Vrije Breiklas herfst en winter 2025-2026

Voor het derde jaar op rij is er de Vrije Breiklas op het atelier van Oyfanoy in Les Autels
in Noord Frankrijk. Iedere donderdag van 10h-12h werkt u aan een vrij te kiezen project. Het comfortabele atelier, een vast moment in de week, de begeleiding én de groep stimuleren om uw project tot een goed einde te brengen.
Ter plaatse zijn patronen, breinaalden en wol te koop.

Praktisch:
Lesgever: Annemieke Fanoy.
Wanneer: iedere donderdag van 10h-12h - inloop met koffie vanaf 9:45h.
Niveau: beginners en gevorderden.
Taal: Nederlands en Engels.
Voor nieuwkomers is de eerste les gratis.
Vooraf inschrijven per vier lessen €50. Losse les €16,00.

De 20 schapen bestaat uit 18 ooien en twee (voorheen) rammen. Ze vormen sinds jaren een hechte kudde. Ouessant schapen zijn klein, zachtaardig, en nieuwsgierig. Wordt voor even onderdeel van de kudde, win hun vertrouwen,leer schapen taal en u kunt de kudde hoeden zonder hond.

Atelier de troupeau de moutons du 1 mai au 1 septembre 2026.
40 € par groupe de 4 personnes / durée : 1h30.

Le troupeau de 20 moutons se compose de 18 brebis et de deux béliers castrée. Ils forment un troupeau soudé depuis des années. Les moutons d'Ouessant sont petits, doux et curieux. Intégrez-vous au troupeau le temps d'un atelier, gagnez leur confiance, apprenez à les connaître et vous pourrez les conduire sans chien.

.. warm is the ground

Nearby to my studio in Northern France, I maintain a small flock of 20 Ouessant sheep that graze happily every day. The coats of my sheep are either brown or white in colour.

In the Springtime the warm coats of the sheep are sheered ready for the summertime, and the fleeces are kept safe for later in the year.

In the Autumn the fleeces are delivered to Filature du Hibou,
a small spinning Mill in Belgium. It is here the wool is spun, but before spinning they mix the wool, so as to produce a variety of unique subtle shades from the combined colours.
It is this wool, along with other soft wool from small companies, that I use to hand knit.

One of the first jumpers I ever knitted was over 35 years ago and its wool still looks as good as new today! This is simply because wool retains its amazing colour over the years.
